Top 6 Things to do When JAMB Gives You Admission
In this blog, I will be discussing with you top 6 things to do when JAMB gives admission.
The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) is the body charged with giving admission into various higher institutions in Nigeria.
Over the years, aspirants and admission seekers always ask things to do when JAMB gives you admission.
I don’t know how long you searched or waited but I can assure you that naijaschoolz.com is here today with yours answers.
We are going to give you a step by step guide on how to successfully register and become a Nigerian student.
JAMBITES are to take note of these steps for they (jambites) needs it the most to complete their documentation successfully.
When you see your name on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), follow the steps below to ensure your successful registration:
Accept or Decline the Admission Offer
When your name appears on the JAMB CAPS, you are to either click ACCEPT to show the acceptance of the admission offer.
However, you can as well click DECLINE to show the rejection of the admission offer.
Choosing REJECT means you will not get admission into any Nigerian Higher institutions for the year.

Print both JAMB Original Result and JAMB ADMISSION LETTER
We all know that before JAMB give you admission, you must sit for the JAMB examination and obtained a specified score.
After you have accepted your admission offer, print the JAMB admission letter as seen on the JAMB page of your screen.
Also, print the original JAMB result as it is obtainable at the JAMB CAPS.
These slips are the proves that you are the candidate and not an imposter as your passport photograph will be printed alongside these slips.
Please note that both printed slip must be in colored format as the JAMB directs.
No Nigerian School will accept your printed documents if they are not in colored format.
Visit the portal of the Institution of Your Choice and Accept your Admission Offer
Candidates are to visit the portal of the school of their choice to check their admission status. Do not forget that as it is necessary.
In most cases, those given admission on JAMB CAPS may not see their names on the school portal.
Such candidates are not to worry but wait for the school announce the opening of admission Portal before proceeding to check their admission status.
Some schools ask admitted students to pay acceptance fee before checking their admission status.
Candidates are to ACCEPT or DECLINE the school admission offer in the school portal.
Print the School Admission Letter
After you have accepted your admission offer on the school portal, print the slip for future references.
I suggest you also print the colored format to show it is the original copy.
Most schools do not have admission letter as they reckon JAMB original admission letter only.
Avoid Paying School fees before Screening/Documentation
Most schools will ask candidates to pay their school fees after they have accepted the admission offer.
Then candidates are to come the school at a later date to present all credentials for documentation and screening.
After this screening and documentation you can now pay the school fees.
Do not pay the school fees before the screening even if the option to pay school fees is open.
Candidates are advised to go for screening first, after being cleared, you can pay the school fees.
This is because if you pay the school fees before the screening and later failed the screening, your school fees is wasted as the tuition fee is a non refundable payment.
Complete the Freshers Registration on the School Portal
With the acceptance fees paid, screening passed, school fess paid, you are now a true student of the school.
Register as a new student, this will give you a student portal where you will carryout all your studentship activities till you graduate.
Good luck to the admitted students!!!
