Foreigners can now enlist in the U.S Army 2023/2024. However, the enlisted candidates cannot become Warrant Officers or commission.

Branches of the U.S Military 2023

Different Kinds of Enlistment
There are different kinds one can enlist through to join the U.S Army. They include:
Enlisting Through DACA Program
This is when one enlist through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals(DACA) program.
An enlisted member enters the Army as a Private. After completing basic training, the enlisted recruits advances to Private First Class. The next office advancement is to a Noncommissioned Officer.
DACA may face a new reality in the current administration and could be subject to deportation versus having the ability to work or attend advanced educational opportunities.
However, Congress could change direction and allow DACA groups the opportunity to serve in the military.
The highest rank attainable in the Army is the five-star General of the Army. Often called a five-star general.
The rank of General of the Army has been reserved for wartime use and currently it is not active in the U.S. Army.
Enlisting Through MAVNI Program
One can also enlist through the Military Accessions Vital to the National Interest (MAVNI) program.
This program enables foreigners who are legally to join the military with such skills as interpreters, certain cultural knowledge, and even medical professionals.

Eligibility Criteria for U.S Army Recruitment
Candidates who wish to enlist into the U.S Army must:
- Be legally present in the United States.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old to join the US Army as a soldier.
- You can start your application when you’re 17 years and 7 months.
- Be in Phase 1 training before their 35th birthday.
Candidates who are under 18years of age can also join but with parental consent.
The key to your career path is your ASVAB(Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Test) score. Taking the test is one of the first steps before you enlist.
The ASVAB is a standardized test that reveals areas of strength and ability in science, math, and language.
A good ASVAB Score is when a candidate score between 30 and 70 on the test. Candidates should take note.
At What Age can One Join the U.S ARMY?
The basic entry age requirements depends on whether or not you are entering the regular army, or Territorial Army, as an officer or soldier.
If regular army, officers can join at the age of 18 to 26 years and soldiers can join between 16 and 32 years and 11 months.
